The Bath

The Handmaiden lights the incense. She is in charge of all fires, incandescent, fluorescent or natural. The
High Priestess takes up the salt bowl containing the salt from the last Sabbat. She recites the words of consecration, while with her right hand,
she draws an upright pentagram over the water. She then repeats the drawing
of the pentagram two more times (totaling three). At the completion of
the drawing of each pentagram, the High Priestess will take up a pinch
of salt and throw it into the water. If you are using the ocean for your
bath then don't add salt and leave out the words: "... we purify you ..."
and add: "... you are purified ..."

The Kore follows with the next set
of incantations. She makes three pentagrams while holding the incense in
the air over the water. The Handmaiden with their Maiden Candle does the
same. Then the Messenger completes the consecration with the oil. She holds
the bottle of oil over the water while drawing the pentagram in the air
and then drops four drops of oil into the water. We sometimes consecrate
the shower water. If there are more than four Women of the Third Degree
Circle then they are to contribute to the consecration by drawing a pentagram
over the water with their Daggers. If there is only one Woman performing
the ritual then of course she will do everything herself. The words for
the consecration of the bath water are:
WATER, WE PURIFY YOU WITH SALT,
SYMBOL OF EARTH, DEATH AND BIRTH, IN THE NAMES OF The first names of the
mothers of the Witches present for the Third Degree Circle, the names chosen by
the Coven for the First Degree Circle and the title: "Mother" for those of the
Second Degree.
WE PREPARE THIS WATER AS A PLACE
OF CLEANSING FOR OUR BODIES, OUR MINDS AND OUR HEARTS THAT WE MAY COME
BEFORE YOU Name of the Goddess who is represented during this six
week period FEELING NEW BORN.
At the completion of the consecrations,
everyone makes an invoking pentagram over the water with their Daggers
while saying:
SO MOTE IT BE!
