NOTE:  Under no circumstances do I hate men!!  Somehow it has been construed that I detest men (I get a lot of letters).  I have a son, had a father, grandfather, uncles, husbands, friends (who happen to be male) and I love/loved them all.  

This is a text for women to experience their OWN power.

 
 
INTRODUCTION

Modern Witchcraft is a magico-religious creed that has texts and laws to follow containing a system of holidays and traditions. It also has a Priesthood. I am High Priestess and Witch Queen.

Serpentine Grove is a Book of Lights and Shadows. Give the Book of Lights, the book of ritual, prayer and song, at the First or Second Degree Initiation. The Book of Shadows contains the spells. Give this book at the Third Degree Initiation when the Initiate assumes the responsibilities of the Priesthood.

This Book of Lights and Shadows is a book of instruction for those Women who use ritual. It also contains a viewpoint of divinity that may be definitive to a modern city Witch.

Serpentine Grove includes a summary of magick to aid the individual in determining what type of magick works for her. Please write in the margins. Please reread and rewrite this Book of Information. This book is truth, as I see it as I write. Please note that some of the quotations use the name "he". Please use the name "she".
